The Six Days of Creation, Volume 2: Development of Life, Homo Sapiens, and the Missing Millions

How does the Torah’s record of Creation correspond with archeological discoveries?

The Torah’s account of Creation stipulates that plant life was created on the Third Day, marine life on the Fifth Day, and land animals and man on the Sixth Day. However, an abundance of archaeological material, along with sophisticated dating techniques, appears to trace the development of life over the course of millions of years-from simple marine life to plant life to the intricately complex animals and humans.

In volume 1, the early expansion of the universe-indicated in the Talmud and scientifically established-is shown to have possibly resulted in the dramatic slowdown of the daily cycle of the sun on the Fifth Day of Creation-reconciling the scientific age of the universe with that of the Torah.

In volume 2, this same dramatic slowdown is shown to harmonize the Torah’s record of Creation with the entire spectrum of archaeological discoveries.
